A regular anoraked person(!) -aka my Dad pales into ant form in comparison to the vastness on display. Lovely impressionist paintings-made up of ikkle ikkle rectangular brush forms capture the water effect perfectly. And I just love the woman's expression that has been preserved here on 'The Days Work Done' she's looking throughly unimpressed with whatever the bloke opposite her is spouting THIS time!!

Some of the new Lanvin for H&M collection I spied today... these dresses are amazing-huuuuuuugest ballerina-esq skirts that reach mid leg in such vibrant colour, looks wicked against the nude. Ahhhhh. Pweeeeeetty.

Wallpaper of le Week

Looooove this Cole & Son barren nature inspired print...it's made up of tiny tiny marks that as a sum create the twigs, branches and delicate trunk forms...no lines in sight. Pretty and clever!!

New York Times

So aside from eating, snapping and walking in the winds, squeezed in a touch of thrift browsing in the NYC. Managed to visit a whole two stores returning to the home front with subsequent grand total of TWO items!! ...Though guess a pretty high success rate upon reflection! First place was over in Brooklyn and literally has all you could ever want to furnish a pad for approx. 50 dollars!
Anyway, stumbled across a lil vintage book amongst the shelves with the prettiest pic and such a cute spine...called 'Our Bessie' and about a girl hailing from England from what i can gather from the ageing pages. Already own a couple of others that have a similar look, hardbacks with lovely illustrations and art nouveau feel to them, generally dating from the 1920's.

Me in my second thrifty find a red silk shirt, has the cutest pleat detailing and weeny buttons... getting ready for festive times!


Did get slight envy en-route to the airport when I clocked a bumper sticker that read:
"A proud parent to a honours student blahblah(memory fail!)-high school '10"

Took me a few reads of the sticker AND the driver to ascertain whether both were genuine and being that I was in America...established that this was for real!! Doubt this is something one would come across in an average thrift shoppe though! Then again...!
Maybe the '07 ones may have a special bargain box somewhere by now!

N-Y-C-Yaaaaaa

So the week went by in a haze of burnt leaves, yellow taxis, maple syrup pancakes and well-worn soles! Managed to capture a few autumnal scenes here below and wait with baited breath for my golden halfies!!

Hungarian Hoarding

After looking at Paco's pictures it got me thinking of an exhibition I went to recently at Royal Academy Of Arts-'Treasures from Budapest': European Masterpieces from Leonardo to Schiele... lots of really lovely paintings from the troves of Hungary... some beautiful scenes in such a beautiful building. Not too sure why the pic of the programme corrupted like this,but i sort of like it...semi lomo-esq!

Though have to admit one of the most exciting events of the eve was my freebie cloth bag-complete with a million beads pictured on the front! Very petals n papillon i must say..! Loving that pearly trim!!

My most favourite photographer ever...and a pic from a story i just adore. It's pretty soft and dreamy,a leap away from mr peregrin's usual style-but still full of amazing textures and beautiful colours...ahhhhhhhhh. Not sure which i prefer the styling of the clothes or of the gorgeous 'homewares' behind her...hmm all of it!

...this one is just beyond stunning, looks like an oil painting...love ye Paco!
