Tomodachi Tuesday... Featuring Me!

This is the image I created for the Japan Red Cross charity website Tomodachi Calling ... it started out as a photograph I took in Tokyo a few years back,which I played around with, drew onto and collaged various bits. It was a couple sharing a scarf-which I just thought was the cutest thing ever... ♥

Blue-ish Bells

Bluebells as far as the eye can see in the woods, looks absolutely stunning when you spot the colourful carpet from afar...

Knitted 'net

Knitted, threaded and braided hair from yesterday by Noriko to match the beautiful hand-crafted crocheted knitted clothes by Cheryl. Such amazing pieces all incorporating several fabrics and wools, just amazing.

Emma's attention to detail and tiny touches are just so so beautiful, everything is made by hand and the amount of beads she can thread onto a single necklace is just beyond incredible... loves her!

Alright Wright

Actually think Frank Lloyd Wright's creations are much more impressive than just 'alright'. Went to see some of his wonderfully designed houses over the weekend... my camera had died and the majority were privately owned gaf's-so whipped out my blackberry a few times to capture all the glory-but the detailing is not done justice here below! 

The multitude of lines in everything he designs is what is really stunning and I really really want some Frankie-esq windows in my life! The flecks of gold and white,perfect symmetry and art deco feel-although so much of what he produced was at the turn of the century...all in all-amazing.

Uno Week William...

A slightly wonky and off-centre poster I saw in Peter Jones toilets on the Kings Road which made me smile a lil bit... apparently the bride-to-be has been shopping on said road a few times this week but alas,missed her! Was tempted to buy a celebratory mug but I think I want the chintziest I can find... or even one of those Chinese ones that say 'Harry & Kate'!!

Collar Brooch Cute!

Think this collar brooch is just too sweet!









Its by British designer Aartthie and her company Fairytales and Hidden Notes -a brand I discovered at a recent shoot. There are gorgeous necklaces made up of miniature objects and long chains, ranging from a teacup to a working telescope and my personal favourite-a compass! AND until the 25th April there's 25% off!

This delightful cushion was spotted illustrating all the 'musts' of London... 

including an umbrella at most times! So sweet with all the hand stitching detail.

Pig Ear vs Dog Eared!

Clocked this 'dress' earlier on that I'm hoping is an art installation really-made up of dried pigs ears (complete with veins!) and girly bow touches!!

This caught my eye trotting down the Kings Rd in the Designers Guild window- amazing floral wallpaper, but with pops of colour in unusual tones.

Think my pic illustrates more of the surrounding buildings than what's going on on the wall but i promise the spikey flowers are just gorgeous!

Wanted to share this pic I took in Tokyo one springtime - the cherry blossoms were out in full bloom and scattering everywhere... apparently its good luck in love to row through them with your beloved

-not too sure if its obligatory for the lady to be doing all the grafting though!!

Gifts For Grandma!

A handcrafted birthday card for my dear old Nan on her 80th birthday!

Today Japan came to London!! Had a box full of goodies- work and play! Jewellery parts from my most favourite ever bead shop Kiwa and collagen sweets for my ageing skin!!

Have no idea if they work-but they're "oishi" regardless! And i just adore the Kiwa logo with the deer's head-even on the packaging tape!
