Super Sweet Save The Dates!

DIY wedding save the date cards; vintage postcard, heart-shaped bunting and a pretty pen... tah-dahhhhhh! August 18th... etched in my mind forever hereonin!! Was going to abbreviate 'save the date' but 'Super Sweet STDs' doesn't quite conjure up the same wholesomeness and may be a bit at odds with this delicate new forest scene!

Subway n Shadows

This isn't the most beautiful picture ever, but the lines, shadows, curves and metal caught my glazed and frosty eye this morning in the glorious hammersmith.

Secret(est) Shopping

Behind an unassuming side door off a side street in dalston lies a secret shop filled with beautiful treats for the eyes... less so for the wallet! Buzz in, wait for approval and hopefully be greeted with white rooms crammed with unique pieces, books and music linked with walkways of neon and tree branches...  ♥

Cardboard bag-complete with bright yellow zip!

Cute Cloth-House

Soho; post auditioning (read making glances over an empty glass to imaginary person whilst swaying to sugababes...) I sought refuge in the Cloth House on berwick street. Could have probably spent the rest of the day in there perusing their ribbons, buttons and most of all reams and rolls of pretty fabrics!
So much so that I fell in love with this linen and shall upholster nanny pat's (of original infamy) dining chairs with this colourful material...

... to be continued!

Biro Le Brillo

Saw these amazing art works today at 'The Other Art Fair' by artist Mark Powell using only a biro on vintage envelopes or found scraps of paper. Think they are just wonderful and his pen skills are muchos mesmerising!

Picturesque Postie...

A postcard by moi, crafted from my own photograph, pieces of newspaper, magazine, Shakespeare's finest words and me make-up! Looks almost like a watercolour image. Hoping it was gratefully received...

Embroidery Ala Emma

Some photographs liberated from Emma Cassi's website...

Wonderful embroidered lace jewellery saturated with tiny glimmering beads and all handmade! Here I am in Emma's own vintage era inspired wedding gown... absolutely stunning and offset beautifully with her handcrafted golden cuffs.

Movember pour Mesdemoiselles

Tatty Devine Tash brooch in aid of Moevember and rasing dough for men's cancer charities. Each tasch sale will result in a 50p donation for said charitable cause. This manifique wooden moustache costs £30 and would look delightful adorning many a garm!

Hannah Horn

Freelance illustrator Hannah Horn's winged creatures are just stunning, came across a few today on Browns windows in South Molton Street. Eerie but beautiful images.

Still Snap...

This amazing photograph has just won Daniel Beltra the WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR AWARD showcasing from this friday at The Natural History Museum here in London. Have a beautiful picture from this exhibition a few years ago which still graces my wall today and think this one here is just as fascinating... unfortunately for much sadder reasons and terrible circumstances, as it captures pelicans caught up in the gulf oil spill of last year. The title 'Still Life in Oil' is a wonderfully clever play on conventional composition titles, as what one would expect as meaning the medium- the oil part is instead indicating the bird's plight. Yet almost resembling an oil painting at the same time with the amazing colours, textures and fine details. Stunning and sad...
Well done that D-B!

Gooey Gift!

Practically yelped with joy when this mini honey jar was hand delivered by resident bee-keeper Mr F tonight! The label reads A present from the bees from yonder courtyard below and tastes like delicate blooms... not even the smallest whiff of speciality east london chicken bones!!
... love, love, love!
