Having worn very little sports attire thus far in my existence I was more used to associating such with bagginess, stretch appropriate and breathable... 

Yet unbelievably yonder below here I am in an outfit that fits all three of those criteria and am reassured that 'sports' is most certainly a trend right now. Goooo grab that lycra!!

 Featured stiletto's not essential and in fact may be detrimental to  general well being and ankles in a competitive real sporting environment...

Degas Drawings

So back to my fave M d'O... (see below) in amongst all the wonderful Impressionist oils paintings, pastel creations, Art Nouveau designs and just general beautifulness housed in this establishment there is also currently a Degas exhibition. 

Degas et le nu aka 'Degas and the nude' is full of sketches and sculptures by the artist of nikid bodies, well generally naked women featuring a fair few bath tubs n all. But the sheer amount on display is just amazing and the pastel colours-often using oil pastels are just too pretty with his soft lines and gentle shading.

An Aquarium Abode...

Decided I'd like to reside in an aquarium permanently after going to the atlantis aquarium today... huge, vast windows, species I never knew existed-with the most glittering colours and vibrancy. Was totally spellbound sitting on the middle eastern floor cushions looking up for hours on end!! 

The colours of the fish above were just amazing, neons, electrics, bright orange fish with pink fins and blue edging! Am totally inspired by these little creatures to get back and get my beads out...

Not long now!! Wish I could take one/the whole tank with though...

Potentatus of Playsuits!

This is THE floral playsuit I was too excitant about stepping into for a mere few minuten, such beautiful flowery design detail and embroidery though perhaps a tad short to be parading around in without complimentary jacket!!

Fish Frenzy

Like this pic i took of the feeding frenzy in the dubai mall aquarium... and subsequent papping frenzy! As two divers were hand feeding the stingray inside this huge tank which is apparently the largest single piece of resin on earth...

 The one below is a quieter moment just really like the line of fish trailing across.

Marching Marchesa

Got draped in Marchesa finery the other day with amazing bead and embroidery work. Along with a sick-as cape/train combo which I just about managed not to succumb to and end up on the floor!

Upon further investigation found these most stunning Marchesa creations-the above piece being a necklace-come-shawl jewellery dress avec gorge matching stone bag. Which is just too wonderful an dlove the tones of the greyish-green juxtapositioned against the pale layers.

 And this wonderful snow queen meets icy forest maiden on the right... woooooooooooooow. The floral details are just  too beautiful.
Apparently it's a wedding dress but personally I wouldn't just restrict it to the once in a lifetime catagory!
... Aside from the 'i have to have owned this once in my lifetime' one!

Vienna Visit... (fingers crossed)

Gustav Klimt one of my very favourites would have been a mere 150 years old in 2012 and to mark this splendour the Austrian city of Vienna is hosting a number of wonderful exhibitions celebrating all things Monsieur Klimt... think I may just have to go get a peek at the beautifulness on display, along with some of his personal items and even a recreation of his studio at the Leopold Museum

Noon By Noor

Spotted Blake Lively in the newspaper in a Noon by Noor creation this week, shot their A/W 12-13 lookbook recently for the two Bahraini designers including this chic jacket and some other beautiful tailored pieces.

Love this other white tux-esq jacket on the left here

with the low buttoning lapels and black buttons. Juxtaposed with a very middle-eastern flavour with this bronze dress and hooded piece. Much of the fabrics this cousin duo incorporate is luxurious, falls beautifully and utilises unusual methods and detailing. Me likie!

So my trotters finally made it on a S*UCE expedition here in Dubai... And can safely say the sequins, studs, pastels, neons and glitter (see below) shalt stay with me! 

Am totally in love with this shop and the array of beautiful garms and possibly even prettier accessories, including tons of one-off pieces and exclusive designs

Liking le lots these ode to Miu Miu t-shirts with their distinctive shoe-booties emblazoned in the bottom corner. Kawaiiiiii desu sho!
